How much does a SoundFire DJ wedding cost?
Wedding pricing starts at $1,995. Most couples invest between $3,800 and $4,900 for the full SoundFire experience; all-inclusive Solar Flare productions run higher. Ceremony-only sound starts around $595. Your quote depends on date, venue, DJ and details — every proposal is itemized and names your DJ.
What is a wedding like with SoundFire DJ?
In-depth personalization. Guests often ask us, “How long have you known the couple?” Everything from what we say on the microphone to what we mix on the dance floor is built around your story.
Do you DJ off a laptop?
No. The laptop manages our library, video and track info. All mixing is done live on professional instruments — controllers, CDJs or vinyl — so the next song drops at exactly the right moment.
Who will be our DJ & MC?
You’ll know before you book. Your proposal names your DJ & MC and we’re happy to set up a meeting with them first. Some companies don’t introduce your DJ until days before the wedding — we think that’s not OK.
What is the planning experience like?
Easy and stress-free. Simple choices (favorite songs, dinner time) live in our online VIP portal; the important ideas get one-on-one meetings. Couples routinely tell us our planning meetings are “a huge relief.”
What are your credentials?
We are the only company in Northeast Wisconsin with Marbecca MC training (Bronze, Silver and Gold), the first to serve on the board of a national DJ education conference, and the house DJ for that conference. Every team member completes 6 months of shadowing, 8 weeks of training and a skills exam before performing.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 12–18 months out, and some of our DJs book up to 24 months ahead. Inside 12 months? Ask anyway — and if we’re full, we’ll connect you with a DJ we trust.
Do you travel outside Green Bay?
Yes — we’ve covered every corner of Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Events over 80 miles round-trip from Green Bay (54301) have a small mileage fee; 200+ miles round-trip requires overnight accommodations. Destination weddings by request.
Do you carry backup gear and backup DJs?
Yes, to a fault. Our backup equipment equals our main rig, and our founder built the largest screened emergency DJ network in Wisconsin.
Is there a contract, and are you insured?
Always. A contract secures your date and guarantees services, and we carry liability insurance for every event.
Do you offer bilingual or Spanish-speaking DJs?
Yes. DJ Baja (Alberto Serna) is fluent in Spanish and specializes in bilingual weddings and Latin dance floors.
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
Absolutely. We love celebrating every couple.
